Interesting as weeds around the farm are hard to handle with mechanical 
control. Herbicides are easier and cheaper than paying for control with a 
weed eater. My problem with herbicides  for farm cosmetic weed control is 
the need for repeated applications driving up costs.

A common misconception at farmers markets is that all Amish or Mennonite 
farms are organic or use organic methods.

In the KC area  the Amish & Mennonite farmers use common pesticides and 
herbicides. In fact the largest supplier is Amish owned.
