I was asked the question about any studies on the estimated percentage of
the adults in a bee hive that are foragers. I am not aware of any. In
http://ir.library.oregonstate.edu/xmlui/bitstream/handle/1957/19777/pnw623.p
df on page 5 it gives a rough figure of one third at 65 degrees F.

Is anyone aware of any studies that will answer the question.

Thanks.
