The list of symptoms you came up with and named *is* real.

Without CCD being discovered as a new problem (not). Heaven knows researchers tried!

We need to look elsewhere for what is causing bees to die.

Maybe beekeepers need to come up with a new name and initials.(ZZZ)

Empty hives full of honey and pollen but no bees. Not dead with heads in cells or on the bottom board might be one symptom.

Fast depopulation might be another!

I would not use a name for a set of symptoms which made PPB the letter name.

I do agree with Jerry that beekeepers calling all deadouts as CCD not helping those of us trying hard to solve the current problem.

I rarely here the word CCD used in commercial circles to describe what they are seeing today.
