As Amy and Medhat posted, allergy to insect dander is not unusual.  Dr.
Norm Gary became allergic to bee dander.
When I ran a university insectary, I became allergic to both wax moth
dander and that of some other cultured insects.

Bob, we all wish you a speedy recovery from your malady.
