Response to plastic frames.

Waldemar asks,

3. Any problems with inserting 9 plastic frames still be inserted into
a hive body? (One post suggested there must be 10.)

I think that you need to start out with 10 frames of foundation so that

the bees will properly draw it out. The added space left by only having

9 frames may cause the bees to build bur comb that is perpendicular to
or

even inbetween the frames. Once the foundation is drawn out then you
can

cut back to 9 frames.
