>Even so, residues in the dead bees are often too low to indisputably prove that the bees died from a particular pesticide, which can be extremely frustrating.>

We just received a report back on a recent bee kill from the USDA National Science Lab. Despite piles of dead bees in front of the hives the test came back with no pesticide residue detected. The threshold indicated on the report is 3.0 PPB.
Indoxacarb was sprayed on the crop on the farm where the hives are located the week prior to us noticing the dead bees.
We only paid to test for Indoxacarb residue testing as this seemed to be the logical culprit.
Could the levels fall below the 3.0 pbb and still have caused the kill?
