Great survey, thanks Pete!!

Here in far south east Washington we have had the hardest winter in my long experience. We had the first flying, cleansing, day Sun. 2/12 after 84 days of snow cover and frigid temps. It was below 0 for 10 days in Dec.-Jan. Still 8" of snow but slowly melting, sublimating.

Survival is 100%, 38 of 38. I have only assessed cluster from popping tops so fully expect to see a few queen issues when I can get in. Mite counts were <1% in late Sept after formic mite wipes. All colonies got Apivar in spring and Ox dribble the previous Nov. Weather prevented an Ox this fall. Monitored mites throughout the summer most never exceeded 3%, those that did got immediate treatment and new queens.
