Dee allergies are a result of the immune system over reacting to a protein.
Although it does not happen it is possible for an allergy to develop from
any and all proteins. The sensitivity we are talking about is to the
proteins from the bees themselves. The hairs from the body of insects cause
a good deal of allergy problems. Pollen allergies are from the protein coat
on the pollen.
These proteins are used in allergy therapy to desensitize the person to that
immune response.
