I'm with Lloyd on this one. This is not a good idea, and I also question the motives. 

We have spent two years trying to get an onerous mandatory registration law off the books in NY State. The repeal is finally headed to the legislature. 

We do not need government interference in the beekeeping field/industry, either in the form of beekeeper registration or the regulation of interstate commerce. 

Individual as well as states' rights are at issue here. The people promoting these proposals represent (IMHO) narrowly focused special interests
