northland?"

I've been hearing a lot of horror stories too.  Personally, I'm in the 20%
ballpark and consider myself fortunate.  Half or more is not uncommon in NY.
And this from folks who are claiming never to have had such bad losses.
Many are taking it in stride, planning on rebuilding slowly or not at all,
figuring with prices as they are that downsizing may be an opportunity to
cut costs, work less and sell stockpiles at hopefully better prices.  Good
deals are to be had on used equipment.
