Here in the UK EFB used to be burnt in the same way as AFB.? Since this policy has been discontinued EFB has increased notably.? Don't sent diseased material to landfill as other beekeepers may have hives within reach!

There is a lot to learn about N.ceranae.? The Spanish studies suggest that it doesn't cause staining in the hive; however it has not been made clear that in Spain, where bees would be expected to have flying/voiding weather every day, N.apis causes the staining we see in more temperate climates.
