Hmm. Unless you were posting under a different name, it looks as though you and I are late comers, having both joined in 1999. 

At the beginning (1989) was Aaron, Tom Sanford, etc. Early posts from Jerry Bromenshenk in 1993, Bill Lord in 1994 and Medhat Nasr in 1995. 

People who posted early but don't now include Peter Kevan, Gene Robinson, as well as Ed Southwick (died 1995) and Ingemar Fries (died 2017). In those days, there were fewer than 100 posts per year.

Not too many women posting in the early days, glad to see that has changed somewhat. Looks like BITNET ended in 1996.
