Hello Randy, first off all I have to say your contribution to the MBA annual convention held in Winnipeg this past weekend was brilliant.  So much of the convention themes over the past 10 years has been directed toward disease control, which is important but sitting in on one of your presentations is a real breath of fresh air!  Beekeeping beekeeping beekeeping, I think sometimes beekeepers forget that they need to beekeep in this business, including myself.  We are so focused on the problems and we stray our attention away from the basics.  Like supplemental feeding during times of dearth, and being able to identify dearths and react accordingly.

Anyway, thank you for your perspective on things and keep up the great work!

The reason I'm writing you is as I was driving home from the Convention after the Saturday sitting and something that you said hit me right across the face.  I may be wrong on this, so PLEASE correct me if I mis quote you,, but did you say that when the bees feed on protein patties, they do not feed it to the emerging bees?
