Antibiotic residues have recently been found in a large number of honey sample tested by the state laboratory in Cyprus. There appears to be some confusion about wether sulphonamide antibiotics are absorbed by wax in combs and can then leach out to contaminate fresh honey. I would really appreciate any information/comments that list members would care to make.
Best regards
