Dear FB ,

Take a match stick , and gently poke one of the dieing larva . Withdraw
your stick slowly . If the slimy material strings out ( like buble gum )
you have the American FB . Destroy the colony !!!
If the slime starts to string , but breaks , you have European FB .
Sprinkle justa touch of some wide sepctrum antibiotic ( amoxicilan ) over
the top of the frames .
Do this to both of your hives , and if you can salvage the colonies , do
the antibiotic treatment every spring as a preventitive measure .

Best of luck ,
