I think there is not much known, at least in comparison to honeybees and
some other bee species, about the foraging ranges of Bombus colonies.  If I
were trying to measure foraging range I'd tag or somehow mark all the
workers in a colony, and then spend many hours looking at bees on flowers in
the vicinity of the hive.
