Hi Jeremy:

My weed eater is an Echo. It has a.095 line with non-spiral grooves. I trim 
the weeds right under the bottom board at the entrance without problems. My 
long handled shears had soft black rubber grips and the bees streamed up the 
handles and covered the grips with stings.
