Dear anyone and all:  Does anyone know of any scientific studies comparing
the pros and cons of plastic vs. wooden hives.   I have found only two
articles:  James Tew's 1986 in American Bee Journal 126(8):546-7, and
earlier by D. F. Detroy in the same magazine, but 1971, issue 6-7, and pages
220-221 and 260 - 261.  I am trying to get copies of both.  It seems that
there are no citations to James' arcticle, so perhaps nothing has been done
for the last 20+ years.  Please reply to me directly [log in to unmask]
