Hi Everyone

I just want to say a few words to the group at the end of another year. Looking through the archives, I see that I have been posting on Bee-L since 2001. Not as long as Aaron, or a few others, but a heck of a long while. Some of the stuff I said back then is pretty embarrassing now, but hey -- we learn.

Which brings me to the point: the reason I participate is to learn. It's not to show off how much I know, because frankly, I have a tenuous grip on my own memory, but a tight one on the resources that exist to help us understand this curious backwater field of interest. Each time a new question pops up that I can't easily answer, it sends me digging.

So, I would like to thank everyone who asks questions, everyone who challenges the so-called answers, and everyone who takes what we have discussed and learned here -- and puts it to some good use somewhere! Keep the cards and letters coming. Have a great new year!

Pete
