This sounds like a great technique for getting swarms but I would NOT use a
plastic garbage bag. I did this one time, captured a swarm in a plastic
garbage bag... and by the time I got to my apiary (10 min) the poor swarm
had suffocated.  I vowed never to do this again.  I recommend a laundry bag
or a bag with lots of ventilation.
