Thanks for your help guys.  I am certain that I saw the queen.  I
will check again in a week and be sure that things are straightened out in
there.  The eggs were laid in a piece of comb about 4" by 8" that the bees
had built around the queen cage.  The cells with multiple eggs seem to be
randomly scattered throughout this comb, but there is a larger
concentration of multiple egg cells around the edges.  The problem with
scattering my bees and then re-intoducing the queen is that it has been so
cold up here (59 deg N, Fort Nelson)that I would lose most of my bees.  I
also am starting with new Pierco plastic frames, so there is no
established comb, unfortunately.
     I guess that all I can do right now is wait and see.
