Thanks for the reply Randy.
I'm trying to work out a method that will give an accurate time line as even a half day off from time an egg is laid messes up the end result.

Using swarms gives a better time line as I know the earliest that an egg can be laid. I'm not scientifically oriented and I personally will only take it to a very low level of accuracy. But I will let you know what I observe through next year.

I have hives at two locations one in Agriculture near Blueberries and the other one in Residential well away from Agriculture for comparison.

Never crossed my mind as a trait to breed for just as an indicator of health being any colonies with brood emerging well past the average as not being desirable.
