True, Charles, but if we want "field relevant" data we have to deal with the field, and that is by definition full of variables!

You can't have it both ways. We do lab experiments in order to control the variables. When we go into the field we can't do that, yet that is precisely where bees live, so critics abound...."lab data isn't relevant" and then somebody attempts a field study and we hear "but you have too many variables" in the field!!!


The point here is that as Bee-L pundits say frequently "all beekeeping is local", and I'm pointing out that includes how the ag products affect the bees.
