Hello Joe,

This box was part of a collection of beekeeping tools that my grandfather had. I was actually looking for an old hookah-style smoker that I did remember seeing among his things. I was just a kid when I saw his collection and the shiny stuff was what I remembered....this box was very humble and sat on the back of the shelf. It turns out my uncle got the old smoker

My mother didn't know what I was looking for when I asked about that smoker, so she brought out this box that she had from the same collection, and I had forgotten about. I do think it is a bee line box, but unfortunately I don't know where it came from. I think it is European as beekeeping goes back in my dad's family to before they got to this country in the 1860's.

Christina
