I have some plastic insert boards from Brushy MT and the first time I ran
the hose over them the black paint washed off with the mites and debris.
Now I just get the same board from Home Depot and cut it my self, it lacks
the black squares but all my boards that had black squares lack them too. I
probably could mark them myself to help with counting. The majority of my
hives have solid bottom boards so I shake the bees in alcohol.

Every thing this season is seems to be in a big way, the spring build up,
the nectar flow and now the mite burden. I am trying to prevent winter
losses from following the same trend, treating for mites, making sure the
hives are getting heavy, our nights are much colder this past week. Fall is
coming fast.
