It doesn't work on frames, but there's a cost effective way to save boxes
for some folks apparently.

Hot wax dipping has been shown to kill or encapsulate (render harmless) AFB
spores.  If you dip your equipment anyway for preservation then a redip is
cost effective.  The frames are still a bust though.  I started wax dipping
this year, but haven't had any AFB so I've personally never tested it.
