I'm a reporter working on a story for the New York Times. It's about the
option of having a beekeeper rescue a hive from your home if you have
a swarm move in. I'm looking for someone who will let me tag along
on a rescue--ideally a complex one, during which a wall will be
dissembled or cut away to get at them. This will be the frame of a story
about wild honeybees, their importance in nature and our lives and
why it's not the best idea to call in someone to exterminate them, even
if it's the cheaper alternative.

I am hoping to do the reporting over the next week or two. Best case
scenario, this rescue would take place within driving distance of New
York City, but if you have an interesting project taking place further
away, I'd like to know about it. Also, if you have stories of past rescues
that might be of interest, please contact me.
