Hello All,

source: http://www.issues.org/27.4/p_suryanarayanan.html

I suggest the above attempts to explain a hypothesis gaining steam around
the
world.

The first two paragraphs (Imagine this:) do an excellent job of explaining
what is now beekeeping history and the problem.

Commercial beekeepers wish the problem would go away. Sadly little has
changed since 2004/5
(soon to be a decade of commercial beekeeping problems).

The easiest way for the sellers of the neonics to eliminate the neonics as
part of the problem is to find in their opinion the cause of problems.
(Simply saying PPB is a bit weak)

Granted there are PPB beekeepers but their always has been. The PPB
beekeepers have for the most part no clue what is causing problems. The rest
of the commercial bee industry understands varroa, nosema and other issues.

An auto mechanic hopes his computer or tests will find the part causing the
auto problem. Cheapest and best method. However if fails to solve the
problem then the process of elimination takes place.

Happens usually daily in every large garage in America!

You make a list of possible problem sources and then start down the list
replacing and eliminating possible parts until you find the source of the
problem. (CCD ?)

I worked decades ago in a dealership and went through the G.M. Training
school.

I hate having to use the process of elimination to solve problems but you
smile when you fix or replace the part and the vehicle is repaired

The process of elimination is 99% effective in repairing autos.

In rust repair you see cars in areas rusted in road salt areas and in areas
where no road salt applied pristine.

Car and hive placement can give at least a partial explanation of problem
source.

bob.
