Dave mentions a fishing pole and a balloon.  That's standard  equipment 
used by Gerald Loper - I had forgotten that.  Thanks Dave.
 
Not sure this shows where the drones hang out - presumably they can  follow 
that pheromone for some distance.  Speed with which they appear may  
suggest whether they were close at hand.
 
Tree lines seem to be a common denominator.   Jerry
