Bill, your method of "monitoring" gets no argument from me as I do the same
thing. I believe there are way too many variables in an alcohol wash to
draw conclusive data from it. An OAV treatment and subsequent drop is more
accurate in my opinion if you have a reasonable idea of the number of bees
in the hive.
