Am I unique in haveing bees who enjoy the comfort of internal electric heat?
A little heater in each home?
The scope of usefullness of this is for weak hives or -20C temperatures

2 heaters are lit as I type, weak nuc with donated brood in each
Now set at 5W

The heating element is simple, a 12V 50W peanut bulb
6V= 16W, 5V=12.5W 3V=5W
Now powered by an AT power supply

In an aluminum envelope, bees don't like light
offset plates are .010" , practicaly ideal
leave a peep hole where the wires go in, shining out so you can see it lit

The running heaters are in a 1/2" copper water pipe, in a well
inside the feeder (this is central, a divided feeder, 3/4' wide)
And I still stuff in 10 frames sometimes, but it is tight

and my bees still have ccd
