Let me put it this way: Suppose you are trying to see what kind of mileage you get with regular vs high octane gas. You have to use the same kind of car. If you use two different kinds of cars, you can't compare. If you are comparing the mileage of cars, you have to use the same kind of gas. If you are studying the effect of cell size, it has to be within the framework of what you have, the bees you have, and the management you use. If you add other variables, you are no longer comparing cell size; you are comparing combinations. Like comparing a small car using high octane vs a big car on regular. What will that tell you? (Correct answer: nothing)
