Hi All,

May I use this opportunity to encourage more of you knowledgeable lurkers to
chime in? I know that there is a vast amount of beekeeping and scientific
knowledge out there that is mostly silent.

I feel that the tone of the discussions has improved of late, such that you
can post without being embarrassed or attacked.

The discussion greatly benefits when there are more than the handful of
regulars submitting. What I do suggest is that everyone keep in mind the
"Informed" adjective in the title. We all greatly benefit by posts that
have a bit of homework or field experience behind them. I for one really
appreciate the latter--observations by those with years of experience.

It is not necessary nor desirable that we all agree. There would be no
point in discussion if we did. We forward beekeeping knowledge when we
debate issues in a constructive manner.

Thanks,

Randy Oliver
