> Does anybody know how commercial lots of Borage seed are harvested?  The seed shatters as fast as it matures, and at any given time there is
only a very small amount of mature seed.

While I cannot speak to commercial practices, I can speak to what works for me.

Just prior to seeds popping, I cut the entire plant off at the base and cram it into a large paper bag.     The seeds continue to mature as the plant dies, and eventually pop out on their own.    As you likely know, gloves need to be worm handling the dried plant, as the spiny hairs become hard and prickly.

I love the attention the Borage gets from bumble bees, but have yet to see a honey bee working Borage.

Would be interested if others have seen otherwise.
