They state: "Feeding colonies PS in their current formulations does not appear to remedy problems of poor nutrition or reduce colony losses. In our study, we lost 30% of the colonies fed PS (protein supplements)."

Randy's work proves this is not exactly true.  He shows that PROPER application of supplements when hives are short on other resources can and does build and strengthen hives.


Temperate zone is also a factor in this game to consider.   What works in CA does not always work in colder climates.

There is a lot of Data out there showing they do help.
