> What if anything can be done to improve upon how long it takes for emails to come through?

Mostly this has been a function of moderation. I have been flying
solo lately, and my schedule and connection habits are not as "real
time" as others who have assisted with moderation in the past. If I
am at my computer, I tend to BEE-L. If I'm away, well, I'm away.

Possible solutions include changing the list to non-moderated, but
that is not acceptable to me, nor will it be acceptable to
subscribers. Believe me, you do not want all the spam for cheap rolex
watches, growing your penis to rival a horse, or investment
opportunities in Nigeria.

More moderators could help, but the larger the cast the harder the
task of keeping peace amongst the players.

Another part of the problem has been technical difficulties. Some may
have notices issues with some ISP in the past few weeks, most notably
AOL. There was a lot of behind the scenes IT support to correct the
problem during which my personal inbox was inundated with error
reports from all problem ISP subscribers for each post (100+ error
emails for each BEE-L post). Thankfully, it appears that AOL and
LISTSERV support worked to resolve the problem, my thanks to their
support. Unfortunately, the majority of AOL subscribers were dropped
from the list. Some have come back, others have not.

So yes, BEE-L has been less real time than it has been in the past. I
suspect it will continue so. Thanks for your understanding.

Aaron Morris, I think, therefore I bee!
