Another person knowlegeable about interactions between native people and
native bees is Joao de Camargo of Departemento de Biologia, Universidade de
Sao Paulo, Riberao Preto, SP, Brasil.  His studies of melliponine species in
Amazonia have led to interactions with the indians of the region, who are
intimately familiar with the bee fauna.  Camargo communicates mostly in
Portugese.
