We drilled wildflowers into our CRP as a requirement to re-inlist for another 15 year period.  The mix was already defined if you were going to use cost sharing .. the see alone for 90 acres was $3500 so you can't get too carried away  .. saw very few of these flowers ever.  

A better program is pheasants forever.  Twice I have gotten 100 lbs of yellow and white sweet clover seed for free.  You spread it in the fall into fresh fallen early wet snow.  Now 1/2 of the farm is bright yellow, its beautiful.
