Every year about this time My bees start getting mean.  We are at the
beginning of a dearth and they become very protective of the stores or their
nest or whatever it is just a fact of life.  I have Buckfast, Italians,
Carolinians and some other swarms of mixed lineage.  Come September, those
same colonies will be docile again just the were 3 weeks ago. Why?  Because
there will be nectar coming in and they will be to busy to be defensive.
