Several days back I made the observation that the Colono Ware Idol looks like
the fired clay Tesuke figurine created by direction of Anglo European
American merchants at a Southwest Pueblo as flour sack prizes during the
Depression. Did this message get to the room? I suspect the Colono Ware Idol
is the same genre because it, like the Tesuke figurine, is in the same
sitting position. Thus, I dont think this is a "fake" per se, just an object
created for an entirely different reason than you think. It is like a Cracker
Jack prize.
