I am reporting a good experience I had with a CD purchase. A search for
the Hilliard Ensemble's recording of Ockeghem's Missa Prolationum/Marian
Motets showed that this item has been discontinued in the USA. On a "tip"
from another list member (sorry, forget who) I checked a UK internet
retailer and it was listed as available. So I ordered it just to see what
would happen. Sure enough, a day or so ago I received it in the mail, in
perfect condition! I am still waiting for another order from a US retailer
that I placed the same day. I didn't check to see if this recording was
available from Berkshire, which I might have done before going abroad, but
I'm pleased to report satisfaction. I must say I've always admired the
thoroughness of UK sellers. For informational purposes, this retailer is
Crotchet. No endorsement above others implied--I expect there are several
from which to choose.
