I'm not a Glass fan, so take my answer with a large helping of salt. I
found it interesting in only one respect: that it seemed to abstract the
Sibelius concerto, of all things. John Adams seems to use the Sibelius as
a model as well in *his* violin concerto, and I think that concerto one of
the best of the century. Both concerti were written at roughly the same
time and both, I believe, for Kremer. The Glass for me - and I wouldn't
describe myself as "learned" - just sort of burbles on and on and on and
