Klemperer has been lucky enough to have received magnificent biographical
treatment from Peter Heyworth with "Otto Klemperer, his life & times"
published in 2 vols.  by Cambridge University Press.

The vols. are split: 1885-1933 and 1933-1973 and the ISBNs are
Vol.1   0 521 49509 1
Vol.2   0 521 24488 9
(and/or as a complete set: 0 521 56538 3)

Most excellent.  The 2nd volume was published posthumously in 1996 under
the editorship of John Lucas (Heyworth having died in 1991).

I have heard nothing of any paperback issue.  Go for it!
