Our club will be making a bulk purchase of Apistan strips shortly.  We, too,
were surprised and somewhat alarmed at the degree to which suppliers are
pushing coumaphos.  One supplier even expressed an intention to discontinue
selling Apistan entirely!  I find it somewhat unsettling that there is such
a discrepancy between the suppliers' and the experts' guidelines for mite
treatment, especially considering the safety issues involved.

On another front, has anyone heard or know anything about possible
legislation to require pasteurization of honey, presumably to ensure its
safety?  Or did I just catch another rumor?
