Chris, is this the same set of 1681 sonatas as the Romanesca, or a
different set of works? Overall, I would have to say that the Romanesca
is about as close to "definitive" as one can get with this music, but the
Council discography have included other Biber sonatas as well.

Have not heard of this one yet. But wasn't Uccellini one of the composers
that was adapted by Respighi in his works inspired by the era, such as the
Ancient Airs and Dances, and The Birds? Would make sense, especially in the
case of the latter Respighi piece!
