Is this also known as the 'Berlin' Mass? What a wonderful work this is. It
was performed here in Brisbane on Monday night by the Estonian Philharmonic
Chamber Choir, Australian Chamber Orchestra with Tonu Kaljuste conducting.
A magical sound produced by all involved - the choir in particular. They
managed to make a dryish acoustic sound like that of a cathedral.
Stunning.
Also on the programme:
Gesualdo - Madriagal: Asciugate i begli occhi
Dean - Carlo (Brett is a native of Brisbane but has been a violist with
BPO for the last 15yrs. A brilliant musician.)
Vivaldi - Gloria
Vasks - Musica Dolorosa
