I find the Downes to be very well paced.  It certainly lacks the intensity
of the Barbirolli, but Downes brings a very different perspective to the
work.  To my ears the focus is one of introspection, which I find
especially to the point in the last movement.

For some reason the Thomson does nothing for me.
