Hi Carolyn:
This will sound absurd, but I've been part of a LLL group especially for
mothers of multiples (MOM) for 22 years and would you believe we never
discuss this!?! Sure, we talk about toddler/preschool breastfeeding of
multiples, but no one ever asks about specific weaning age! I can't wait to
hear from others about this. As I recall, though, one of my co-Leaders had
twins of which one or both still nursed at 5-6 years...maybe longer. didn't
keep track beyond that! (MOM may be less likely to nurse toddlers or older in
public as discreet breastfeeding often isn't possible due to multiples'
interactions while nursing.)
