Then you certainly won't like my acronym for all the arguments made between
the Historically Informed Performance practice and (what I call)
Historically Overblown Performance practice.

Which of course, makes all these discussions HIP-HOP.

(in other words, while many folks understand your point, it's just a
shorthand/convenience term, and not something to get overly worked up
about)
