I had the pleasure of meeting Kirby when he had a performance here.  A
terrific performer!  If you are interested in "new ragtime," or "terra
verde" as they call it, check out the Terra Verde CD on Viridiana
Productions, featuring compositions of Kirby's and others.

Also, I believe a local here, Nora Hulse, has a recording or two of Scott
Joplin.  I have not listened to it (them) myself, but I have heard they
are quite good.  Perhaps Mr.  Rabushka is familiar with this...
